Mother’s Day: The Business Empowering Girls in Bangladesh
Nur-E Gulshan and her daughter Nur-E Farhana Rahman are the mother-daughter team behind Knotty Gal, a knotted, handmade jewelry company benefitting girls’ education in Bangladesh. The duo founded Knotty Gal in 2013 in order to raise funds for the Bhandari Girls’ School, an institution in Bangladesh founded by Nur-E Farhana’s maternal great-grandfather. A percentage of each sale goes directly to support over 1,200 girls currently enrolled at the school. Learn how both of them decided to fearlessly pursue their dreams and start their own business to help others together.
